We used to live in Ramsgate, so know it well, and we were just passing through yesterday and it looked so nice after all the gloomy weather we’ve had recently that it was hard to turn down the implied invite! So off we parked on the cliff top and had a lovely walk from the top down to the harbour via the pretty Kent Steps, along the harbour arm, past the slipways to the Brasserie for a hot drink, all in glorious sunshine, and sat at the table next to the actor James Nesbitt, but left him alone. A nice walk back as the sun was setting, the cormorants diving for fish and a drop in to the old Belgian Bar to see how it’s doing topped off a lovely afternoon out. Sometimes it feels like a good life.
