Sorted!  My email provider had changed the address of its email servers and not told me. Not good, but a bit of sleuthing soon revealed the change.  What am I talking about??  Soon???  it’s taken me a day to track this one down, thinking it was an error on my part and checking everything 10 times over, pulling out what little hair I have left.  Grrrr….
