Edinburgh

Jane and I have been having a few days away in Edinburgh, guided and supported by a couple of lovely friends, Norman and Humaira. It has been great, seeing Edinburgh in all its (non-pompous and non-monarchy) glory. We’ve toured the city centre, seen the shopping centres, experienced our hotel region of Leith, been to the Botanic Gardens, visited Calton Hill and perused the wonderful National Museum of Scotland – all great visits. For a change we travelled up by train, which was very fast, but the seats were not exactly comfortable. Here are a few photos.
