£4.78 worth of spooky!
Halloween
Halloween, eh? Previous years we have reluctantly joined in with this US induced event at a low key, but this year we took it a little more seriously and spent more than before on decs and treats, a whole £4.78 on decs and about £10 on treats (Maltesers, fudge and chocolates – stuff we could just about tolerate eating when, as usual, they get left over). Well, what a night it was – non-stop “Ding-Dong – Scream (us) – Scream (them) – have a treat!” – we enjoyed it, most of the children did (even though often it was them screaming after we spooked them) and we ran out of treats, falling back on a tin of Swedish (Ikea) biscuits (that were surprisingly popular, one ghoulish group even coming back for more!). I hope you had a good evening, too. Better take the decs down today…
