Tonight we went with friends to the Gulbenkian Theatre (on the UKC campus) to see and enjoy a gig by Police Dog Hogan, a highly talented group of musicians and singer songwriters that we’d never heard of, but came recommended by our friends. The recommendation came via the Guardian for whom the banjo player, Tim Dowling, is a writer – a good enough recommendation, plus they’ve played at Glasto, so that’s also a good sign (mostly). Anyway, a stompin’ good night was had by all; my throat Is aching from too much singing along and my hands hurt from too much clapping. If you enjoy a good bit of folk, blue grass, rock and/or country I’m sure you’ll enjoy a night out with them.
